WEDGE DELUXE CHESS BOARD

Wenge is an exotic wood indigenous to Zaire and other smaller nations in West Africa. The wood is deep brown in colour with even darker (almost black) striations; it is considered the darkest wood with the ability to be cut into wood veneers. Wenge is a nice match with the black lacquered pieces and the maple squares on this board have an amber hue that matches perfectly with the natural boxwood pieces. A thin maple inlay separates the 2" wide Wenge border from the Wenge and maple playing squares. The board is finished with a durable matte polyurethane.
